The Digital Collection Builder (DCB) is an open-source software application that makes it easy for libraries and other organizations with digital collections to provide online access to their unique resources. Canadiana.org has made DCB available to assist institutions with describing their content using common metadata standards and providing the ability to easily contribute the metadata to the Canadiana.org national index and other search portals.

Artefactual Systems is the lead developer of the DCB application. DCB is open-source software and available as a free download at the dcb-gcn.canadiana.org website.
